I was unable to put this feature up tomorrow so I decided to put it up tonight instead.
This is my first Journal Feature devoted to Unique Pieces. Give some love to these artists!
Thanks to everyone that posted in my forum, it was really difficult to choose just 12 pieces, everyone had something great to offer!
Standing in Silence Part 3 by redkidOne

This short film wowed me, had me speechless and at one point got me a little teary.
The meaning, the fantasy, the dreams and the serenity a melody inside a little music box can inspire anyone. The surrounding nature, the lone tree, the birds, and just being in the middle of it all is as beautiful as the melody in this film. The moment is captured perfectly.
As soon as the melody stops we view the surrounding construction and industrialization. To me, this work sends the message to appreciate the little things in life, to enjoy our earth and move away from materialistic matters to appreciate the small and undermined beauties of life.
I encourage absolutely everyone of every age to go and view this; you will be moved.
Tree on the Streets by FollowYourxBliss

I kept staring at this photograph for a good 3 minutes just trying to figure out exactly how I felt about it.
Having said that, I think what really makes this piece different and captivating is its composition and the boldness of the colours. The wall and the parking spots are the usual grey colours. However, the odd positions of the yellow poles add vibrancy to the picture. The healthy green colour of the tree and the leaves add life to the scenario.
Now I know what I feel! Total optimism and happiness, because it is such vibrant refreshment from real life.
Final Century by belez

I love the combination of fantasy, real life, effects and colours in this piece. I just had no idea where to start, there was so much to look at and take in!
The palm trees, the water and the beach chairs are the realities of a nice vacation down South; the photo-manipulation of the dark night, the beams of light, the stars and the moon add a surreal effect to the piece which kept me hypnotized.
Dont touch my place by Victorior

The bright colors and the animated expressions all make for a purely fun piece to look at! I feel as if an exciting story is going on between the boy and the fish in the aquarium.
I absolutely love the detail on the little things we may overlook as an audience the details on the rocks of the aquarium, the little boys outfit, the redness of his cheeks, the reflection of the aquarium in the glass.
I had a lot of fun looking at this one!
Mottephobia by Realistic-Unicorn

As the artist commented, mottephobia is the fear of moths or butterflies, but I feel no fear when I see this piece!
I really like the detail in the butterfly (you can even see the fur on its body!) as well as the original design on the wings. The saturated colors add an edgy feel. The repetition of this butterfly on the sides of the pictures makes me think of a dissection of specimens, but instead of an actual physical dissection, it is one of its uniqueness and beauty.
Angel in Hell by siantjudas

There is so much to look at in this piece; I am not sure where to begin!
My favourite would have to be the expression on the fella in the top left hand corner. On a closer look, I enjoyed looking through the detail of the building, the dark character draped in a robe and the character (which I assume) represents death. The randomness in this piece works effectively in a unique way.
3:45 am Throw-Up by Midnight-Specks

Another amazingly detailed and filled black-and-white drawing.
There is so much to look at and you will not get bored no matter where you choose to begin. I love the bubbly, happy drawing style combined with total randomness! My favourite part would be the very ecstatic, smiling tree on the left. Did anyone else see it? I think its super important to notice and appreciate every little detail that has been put in this piece because it is simply wonderful.

I love this piece; it is unlike anything I have seen before.
The light-heartedness of this work along with a subtle sexiness makes for a great treat (no pun intended!) The hair and the tasty deserts are drawn wonderfully. Now I need to go grab some ice cream!

VIBRANT COLOURS! Love it!
I love everything about this piece; the precision and detail in the face, the rainbow hair, the flowing designs and the softness of the piece. Most of all I love the mix and the blending of all the colours in the rainbow. A definite must-view!!

I asked for unique pieces and this one is most definitely unique!
The detail is incredible. I am left wondering how the artist went about making it? Perhaps Ill add another eye here, some teeth here Whatever the process was, the outcome was great. It sort of reminds me of a cool/twisted family portrait!
Shes a Color Scientist by amberghosh

I love the theme of this piece to me its having fun with colours in different ways.
The model, or, ahem, scientist looks sexy, spunky, totally fearless and ready to go about doing things her way. The angle is perfect, the eye makeup is fabulous, the background fits in beautifully and the pose is an absolute tease. AWESOME photo.

What a beautiful, stunning, crisp and contrasting photo!
In the background there is a peaceful teahouse surrounded by lovely greens, and in the foreground, there is a model in dark clothes, looking oh so sneaky like she is conjuring up some trouble.
I love this contrast; I love the models look as well as the creative pose.
That concludes my first out of many-to-come features! I didn't realize until I was making the journal that I couldn't put up picture thumbs, sorry guys!!
Thanks again to everyone that posted, and I hope you enjoyed my comments.
Love and peace,
Vivian
